I just love this family. I really do. I’ve been friends with Lindsey for many many years and I cherish our friendship very much. I can remember when we were in high school, we’d get together and “exercise” together (and by “exercise” I mean we would bake cookies and watch tae-bo…no DO tae-bo, but WATCH tae-bo). When we graduated, she and I and a couple of other friends went on a week long cruise to the Caribbean; and when I think back on that trip I literally laugh out loud thinking of some of the memories we created. I’m so thankful that Lindsey has been a part of my life, and I look forward to many many more years creating fun memories
.
When Lindsey asked us to do family pics while they were in town, I was super excited because I’d finally be able to meet their precious Anniston. Anniston is truly a miracle, and you can read about her story on Lindsey’s blog HERE . It was so much fun spending time with them while we took pictures.
And aren’t they such a CUTE family!

I love love love this:

And I love the way Lindsey is looking at Stan in this pic:

Lindsey brought a basket and blanket for pictures and it was such a great idea! Look how adorable…

I could just kiss those cheeks all day!

While Anniston slept for a little bit, we took a couple of pics of the mommy and daddy:

They are such a loving family. Anniston is so lucky to have them as parents.

Love that smile!

Lindsey, thank you so much and I can’t wait to see y’all again soon! We’re still going to come visit y’all one weekend :). Love ya!

While we were in Baton Rouge a few weeks back we had a shoot with two of the cutest kids!
Ava and Ian were just too adorable together. We met at their house and they pretty much just played while we snapped away. They had a couple of outfit changes that were just too cute.
I love the drool in this one. His mom kept wiping it off but it was too cute.:

Ava played with chalk for a while:

Aren’t they just so cute together:

They even played a little with their kitchen set:

Aren’t they both so cute! I love Ava’s pink little cowboy outfit! Adorable! She was a complete ham when she put it on.:

And one more of the two together!:

Ava and Ian were both just so cute and were alot of fun to play with!

So its a funny story how we came to know Grover and his beautiful family. About 5 years ago, Miranda and I traveled down to south Louisiana to visit our old youth pastors and to go to the American Idol season 3 summer tour in New Orleans (and yes, I know we’re dorks for that). Well, while visiting Pastor Mo and Mrs. Shontel at their house, we met Grover and some other people from Pastor Mo’s church and stayed up late playing cards and just having a great time. We exchanged emails and have actually kept up with each other over the years even though we only met that one time. You can almost say that Grover, or “Bubba”, is my real-life pen pal :). We’ve complained and rejoiced over email about everything from LSU and Saints football, to politics, work, and school. Now that Bubba is married and has an adorable daughter, and seeing as how we’ve only met him that one time and we’ve never met Stephanie or their daughter, it was about time that we made the trip back down to south LA. It was so awesome hanging out with him and his family again. His wife Stephanie is just fabulous (seriously, I felt like I’ve been friends with her for years because she was just so much fun to be around), and his daughter Ava is just as sweet and precious as she could be. We had such a great time with them that we’re trying to talk them into moving up to Monroe, LA with us :). So Bubba and Stephanie, don’t y’all want to move up here so we can take pics of y’all anytime :)?
Now on to the photos of the awesome family:

This one is Miranda and I’s favorite

I love baby toes!!

The shoot was right during Ava’s usual nap time, so she ended falling asleep while we were driving to a different location. So instead of waking her up and having her not be happy with us, we just let her sleep and took pics of the happy husband and wife!

Thanks again guys! Y’all rock!

Ahh…we just adore them :). Serena is one of our most faithful blog readers and commenters (and we LOVE blog comments); so for that reason alone, her and her family rank high on our list. But Serena is also one of my close friends after working together for a couple years, and we really do love taking pics for her and her family. You can see Serena’s maternity pictures here. And when they had sweet Hadassah, we loved taking her newborn pictures (seen here). So, of course we jumped at the chance to do more family pics for Hadassah’s one year birthday. They are such a loving and beautiful family, and we’ve always had so much fun with them.
One reason that we love doing pictures for them is because Serena has an awesome choice of colors and outfits picked out for them to wear. She doesn’t shy away from colorful and happy outfits, but at the same time their outfits never appear too “busy”. See what I mean…fun, happy, and colorful:

And y’all know how much we LOOOOOOVE their chair. We’re still going to steal it one day

Such a loving family:

Hadassah is soooo cute and is such a sweetie!

Can’t you tell that we had a blast with them!

Thanks again Serena and Chris! Y’all are forever awesome in our book ;)!

I know its been a while since we’ve posted, so to make up for it, we have a loooooong post here. You might remember these two cuties from a few months back when we took their newborn pics. Well, Reyd and Avery are now 6 months old, so their mommies wanted updated pics. And these babies are just soooooo adorable, so we were more than happy to oblige :). And I think its so neat how the mommies (they’re sister-in-laws) both had babies so close to each other.
First up, Reyd….

This little boy was just sooooo animated. Seriously, he made the funniest faces! And isn’t he going to be a heart breaker when he gets older
?

I love this picture with him and his baseball and bat… doesn’t it look like he’s ready to go play. Such a serious face (and I don’t condone tobacco products in ANY way, but it looks like he has a big wad of dip in his cheek too, and it just cracks me up):

One of the whole family:

Such a daddy’s boy. He just laughed and laughed when Stephen would blow on his belly:

Two of my favorites:

But of course you can tell that he just adores his mommy too:

And here’s little Avery…she had the biggest smile and laugh I think I’ve ever seen:

I just love the way she sticks her tongue out when she smiles:

precious little baby feet:

And here is one of them two together. I always wonder what babies say to each other…

We have another shoot today, so be on the look out for those pics soon.
Have a good Saturday and GEAUX TIGERS

these pics didn’t make the cut for the initial Destin post since they do not necessarily scream “Destin” or “beach” or “vacation”, but I like them nonetheless. These were taken one afternoon in the condo room while the kiddos were just playing around and being natural. And, honestly, those “natural” and “spur of the moment” photos usually end up being some of my favorites.
Addy:

Bria:

And Dawson - trying to attack the camera. I know its not technically the best photo considering it’s not tack sharp and there’s some grain, but it still just makes me happy.

Let me preface this post by explaining that we took these pics in about ten minutes due to the massive thunderstorm that we barely missed by a matter of seconds (literally…it started pouring on us the second we got back in the vehicle). So considering the circumstances, I think they turned out nice.

I love the expressions in this below picture:

the beautiful girls Bria and Addy:

This is when we were leaving. Check out that sky in the background!

Mama’s little boy:

Or maybe Daddy’s little boy?

I seriously love, love, love this picture
.
All-in-all, we had a great time on our trip to Destin, FL. Thank you Darla and Michael for taking us along on y’all’s family vacation and letting us stalk you with our cameras
.

So we made it back from Destin, FL safe and sound and needing a vacation from our vacation
. We had a great time at the beach and just wanted to share a few pics from the trip. We also took some family beach photos that we will post in the next few days once we go through them all. Most of these photos were taken with the simple point-and-shoot camera and not our professional cameras, so that’s why the quality isn’t the best on some of them. But anyways, here we go:
Check out this little doll, Dawson. He was soooo sweet and good on the trip. He would just smile at anything. Here we are at Fudpuckers:

But he wasn’t too happy the first day on the beach. he was just so tired and sleepy and hot (weren’t we all though
). Look at this poor little man. Even not smiling, though, he is such a cutie:

and let’s not forget his adorable big sisters Addy and Bria:

Other than hanging out at the beach and pool, we also went to The Track family fun center. The girls loved the go-carts. Check out Bria’s face in the below picture….sheer joy.

and here’s me and miranda in the arcade:

And finally, i tried out surfing again. As you may remember, I tried surfing while in Hawaii last summer and failed MISERABLY…you can read about it here
Luckily, I fared much better in the significantly calmer and smaller waves of the Gulf. I even rode a few waves the first day; but the second day the waves were larger and I was on a more difficult board, so I wasn’t so great the 2nd day (and I was on my own without an instructor).
Me right before my lesson the first day:

check me out riding those waves
!

That’s all for now, be checking in later for those family beach pics.
thanks!
