Grover, Stephanie, and precious Ava
So its a funny story how we came to know Grover and his beautiful family. About 5 years ago, Miranda and I traveled down to south Louisiana to visit our old youth pastors and to go to the American Idol season 3 summer tour in New Orleans (and yes, I know we’re dorks for that). Well, while visiting Pastor Mo and Mrs. Shontel at their house, we met Grover and some other people from Pastor Mo’s church and stayed up late playing cards and just having a great time. We exchanged emails and have actually kept up with each other over the years even though we only met that one time. You can almost say that Grover, or “Bubba”, is my real-life pen pal :). We’ve complained and rejoiced over email about everything from LSU and Saints football, to politics, work, and school. Now that Bubba is married and has an adorable daughter, and seeing as how we’ve only met him that one time and we’ve never met Stephanie or their daughter, it was about time that we made the trip back down to south LA. It was so awesome hanging out with him and his family again. His wife Stephanie is just fabulous (seriously, I felt like I’ve been friends with her for years because she was just so much fun to be around), and his daughter Ava is just as sweet and precious as she could be. We had such a great time with them that we’re trying to talk them into moving up to Monroe, LA with us :). So Bubba and Stephanie, don’t y’all want to move up here so we can take pics of y’all anytime :)?
Now on to the photos of the awesome family:

This one is Miranda and I’s favorite ![]()

I love baby toes!!

The shoot was right during Ava’s usual nap time, so she ended falling asleep while we were driving to a different location. So instead of waking her up and having her not be happy with us, we just let her sleep and took pics of the happy husband and wife!

Thanks again guys! Y’all rock!

Girls! You two just keep getting better and better! Some terrific shots, I love the varied perspectives on some traditional ideas! For any of you other ‘blog followers’ of Make Moments, I’d like to take the time to say what a special force ‘Make Moments’ photography is. As an ‘old’ photographer and ‘new’ business woman - Heather and Miranda were more than generous with offering me some valuable help as to how to get in to the 21st century with the technology end of the photography business. I am SO EXCITED about breaking into this ‘new for me’ realm of business and would just like to say a special thank you to Make Moments for their expertise and advice. You two are awesome and I will be happy to recommend your work to anyone! Keep up the good work.
