This is our fourth blog post in one week! Wow! I must say we have been working extremely hard this week to get all caught up before these last few weeks of school! See how productive we can be when we are both out of school!!! I don’t think we should go back to school on Monday…what do y’all think :)?
Jacie is a cousin of mine and will be graduating in the next few weeks. She came over to Monroe for the afternoon to get some pictures done for graduation! Jacie was a perfect model and we had a lot of fun running around the town with her.
Isn’t she a beautiful girl??:

loving the little yellow flowers:

i love these last two:

unfortunately, today is the last day of spring break!
we both have to go back to school on monday! heather doesn’t have much longer until her graduation day. i counted today and there are only 25 school days left until summer! i think i can make it 25 more days. i am counting down and cannot wait for summer to be here! we have several weddings that we are excited about over the next few months so be on the lookout for more blog posts!

you may remember brooke and james from their engagement session a couple of months back. we had a lot of fun shooting brooke and james’s wedding. the ceremony was beautiful and all of the little details of the reception made it perfect.
brooke and james opted for a first look. i can’t say enough about how much we love doing first looks. for those of you who don’t know what a first look is, it is when the bride and groom choose to see each other before the wedding. it gives so much more time for more intimate photos between the bride and the groom. after the ceremony it frees up more time for the bride and groom to spend with their guest at the reception.
brooke getting ready! i absolutely loved her hair!!

james is all ready to go. loving the camo!:

james had to keep his eyes closed when walking in to see brooke for the first time:

some from their first look:

i love the flair coming from the light in the ceiling:

then we headed outside for a few pics of the bride and groom together:

now for the ceremony:

a couple of details from the wedding and the reception:

leaving the reception! congratulations brooke and james!!:

thanks brooke and james! you were both so much fun to work with and we had a great time at your wedding!

We should get some kind of award for our turn-around time on this session, because we took these photos yesterday and we already have them up! yay for us! But for future clients, don’t hold us to this standard :)…these two lovebirds are getting married in less than 3 weeks and we HAD to get the photos to them this fast for the newspaper announcement. Plus, we’re both on spring break this week, so we’ve been working extra hard and faster than we usually can (school gets in the way for both of us…stupid school…).
But on to Toni and Patrick…they are one of the funniest couples we’ve ever photographed. At one point yesterday, Toni apologized and said we probably don’t have couples who cut up as much as they did, and I said I wished more couples would cut up and let loose like they did :). And the location for yesterday’s shoot…oh my, it was just fabulous. A photographer’s dream. We shot at Toni’s aunt’s house (which is also where the wedding is…score!), and it was amazing! There were so many different locations and areas to shoot, we could have photographed for many more hours. We can’t wait to take more pictures of this beautiful couple at this beautiful location in a couple of weeks!
Hope you enjoy the photos Toni and Patrick! We had a blast!

The little buildings all around were just adorable!

I love the lines in this photo:

This picture just makes me smile. The whole shoot was practically like this…just each one of them making the other one laugh.

I LOVE. LOVE. LOVE this one!

And some more pictures with gorgeous light:

I can just hear my Mom and Dad (as supportive as they are) asking how come I cut their heads off, but I’m rather fond of this crop. So, yes, I know their heads aren’t in this photo, but it was on purpose

Toni said we’d have a hard time getting “sweet” photos of them, but we got plenty like this one :):

And this one:

Thanks again Toni and Patrick!

Samantha and Roderick, for lack of better words, simply rock! They were sooooooo much fun. Seriously, I think we laughed the entire time during their shoot. They were so laid back and ready for a good time. Roderick currently lives in Utah and they don’t get to see each other too much, so they were both just so sweet and loving to each other. It made our job very easy
.
Since they met while in college at Louisiana Tech, it was only fitting that their engagement shoot was at LaTech. Samantha told us that she wanted lots of Tech in their pictures, so we just had a great time walking around campus (my alma mater!) taking pics on a beautiful spring day. Samantha and Roderick, we had a great time and we can’t wait for y’alls wedding! Hope you enjoy your engagement pics!
They met here in this very building:

Look how cute their matching shoes are!

The beautiful ring…Roderick said this would be his favorite picture, so here’s for you!

Evidence of their awesomeness: when I told them to just hold hands and walk in front of me, Roderick grabbed Samantha’s hand and just took off running. So cute. And I love the motion in the picture. I know its not perfectly exposed because its blurry, but again, I love the motion it shows.

Have a great week (I’m sure going to enjoy my spring break this week
)!
