I know it and I now admit it. I’ve always justified every ridiculous clothes purchase that I’ve ever made for my dog Abby; but now, there’s just no justification. So I declare: Hello, my name is Heather, and I buy silly looking clothes for my dog, throw her birthday parties, and just overall treat her as a spoiled-rotten little kid. So with that, happy 3rd birthday Abby:

On another note, both Miranda and myself will be unavailable until Monday, July 21st. You can email or call and leave a message, and we will return your call next week. Thanks and have a good weekend!

We shot Matt and Malissa’s wedding yesterday, and it was sooooo much fun. We can’t wait to start playing with those pics and get them up on the blog. But for now, here are Malissa’s bridal pics that we took a few weeks ago at her grandma’s house. Her house was beautiful! Here are just a few favorites from the shoot.
Isn’t she a gorgeous bride? But believe it or not, she was even more radiant yesterday.

Malissa’s ring is just stunning!

the following two are my probably my favorites:

and I know this isn’t actually one picture, but I still love this collage of pictures. It showcases Malissa’s super fun personality.

Be checking back in a few days for a sneak peak of the wedding!

We recently had the opportunity to shoot Patrick and Sandee’s engagement pictures. We had a great time running around downtown. They were both such good sports even though it felt like it was 150 degrees outside! And although we were all melting from the heat, they didn’t even complain once.

so sweet:

just playing around with some texture for the next two:

i really like this one:

a couple more playing with some texture:

We can’t wait to work with these two again when we shoot Sandee’s bridals and then their wedding later this year!
Have a great week!
We will be shooting a wedding in Ruston this weekend so check back soon!!

hopefully everyone had a great july 4th. i spent the day with family at my grandmother’s house playing the game apples to apples. if you’ve never played it, you should check it out. its a great family group game.
couldn’t help but think though how last year in july heather and i were in hawaii taking a photography class and how on the 4th we went to an awesome firework show on the beach. it doesnt quite get any better than that.
here are a few pictures from the firework show in hawaii that we never posted last year. notice the palm trees swaying in the breeze under the fireworks. pure beauty:

and a flag picture that i liked from one of my assigments in hawaii:

have a great weekend!

these pics didn’t make the cut for the initial Destin post since they do not necessarily scream “Destin” or “beach” or “vacation”, but I like them nonetheless. These were taken one afternoon in the condo room while the kiddos were just playing around and being natural. And, honestly, those “natural” and “spur of the moment” photos usually end up being some of my favorites.

And Dawson - trying to attack the camera. I know its not technically the best photo considering it’s not tack sharp and there’s some grain, but it still just makes me happy.
