Let me preface this post by explaining that we took these pics in about ten minutes due to the massive thunderstorm that we barely missed by a matter of seconds (literally…it started pouring on us the second we got back in the vehicle). So considering the circumstances, I think they turned out nice.

All-in-all, we had a great time on our trip to Destin, FL. Thank you Darla and Michael for taking us along on y’all’s family vacation and letting us stalk you with our cameras .

So we made it back from Destin, FL safe and sound and needing a vacation from our vacation . We had a great time at the beach and just wanted to share a few pics from the trip. We also took some family beach photos that we will post in the next few days once we go through them all. Most of these photos were taken with the simple point-and-shoot camera and not our professional cameras, so that’s why the quality isn’t the best on some of them. But anyways, here we go:

Check out this little doll, Dawson. He was soooo sweet and good on the trip. He would just smile at anything. Here we are at Fudpuckers:

But he wasn’t too happy the first day on the beach. he was just so tired and sleepy and hot (weren’t we all though ). Look at this poor little man. Even not smiling, though, he is such a cutie:

and let’s not forget his adorable big sisters Addy and Bria:

Other than hanging out at the beach and pool, we also went to The Track family fun center. The girls loved the go-carts. Check out Bria’s face in the below picture….sheer joy.

And finally, i tried out surfing again. As you may remember, I tried surfing while in Hawaii last summer and failed  MISERABLY…you can read about it here

Luckily, I fared much better in the significantly calmer and smaller waves of the Gulf. I even rode a few waves the first day; but the second day the waves were larger and I was on a more difficult board, so I wasn’t so great the 2nd day (and I was on my own without an instructor).

because i’m lazy and i don’t want to drag out my camera at the moment (i know, i know…i’m a bad photographer), photo booth pics will have to do for now . here’s a pic of me on our balcony and one with me and my cute little cousins Addy and Bria.

our condo is super nice..6 pools…golf course (not that that benefits us any)… and short walk to destin’s famous white sand beaches and beautiful water.

here are some more of Serena and Chris’s precious baby. She was soooooo good during the shoot, never cried or fussed once. she’s a natural ham for the camera .

here’s her beautiful room… notice the awesome chair from their maternity shoot (seen here). we tried stealing it then, and I was tempted to steal it a second time, but it just looked so good in her room I decided to let Hadassah keep it.

this is a Bible that Serena got when she was a baby:

Chris bought Serena and Hadassah matching bracelets with each of their names engraved on them. They were so pretty…

me and miranda are heading out of town at the end of this week to go to the beach with my aunt darla and her gang, so we’ll be sharing lots of those photos soon. hopefully the hotel will have wi-fi cause i don’t know if i can make it without internet for 5 days

here are the rest of the pics from the engagement shoot that we gave a sneak peak of about a week ago. we had such a good time with Matt and Malissa. i just love it when couples have a few ideas of their own for the shoot, and these two really just play off of each other so well. we absolutely can’t wait for their wedding in july and for malissa’s bridal shoot in couple of weeks.

so get comfortable cause this is gonna be a long post with a LOT of pictures. grab a cup of coffee and enjoy .
